About us:

We are a nonprofit organization and our mission is to make a strong referral business community for entrepreneurs who manufacture or distribute vegan products. We aim to help them be successful and effective through networking, up-skilling, and mutual support. We have been operating in Hungary since the beginning of 2022 and after testing and refining our model in Budapest, we are expanding it to several European cities this year. 

About the role:

We are seeking enthusiastic vegan entrepreneurs or activists.These will be able to organize local networking business breakfasts in their own cities, where plant-based producers, distributors, chefs, restaurant owners and other kinds of entrepreneurs who are interested in animal welfare, sustainability and healthy food could meet each other, share their knowledge and gain business connections. We provide you with the know-how, materials, and support network you need. You will also receive a seed grant of €1,000 to get started and the opportunity to earn a continuous commission from local VBC membership fees.

Responsibilities:

• Organize VBC business breakfasts in your city on a regular basis (usually monthly)
  – Invite guests to business breakfasts (via direct mail, phone calls, and advertisements)
  – Identify and invite potential speakers
  – Book a venue for the breakfasts and lead the event
  – Hold follow-up meetings with guests after the business breakfasts
  – Prepare for upcoming business breakfasts (coordinate with the restaurant, update presentations, etc.)
• Build a local VBC group
  – Continuously search for new potential guests and members
  – Host Mastermind meetups (additional groups may form as membership grows)
  – Regularly create content and post on VBC’s local social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram)
  – Maintain the local member database
  – Keep statistics and collect feedback
  – Participate in bi-weekly online meetings with HQ and fellow chapter leaders

Candidate requirements:

The ideal chapter leader:

• Is fluent in the local chapter language and has a high level of English.
• Can dedicate 10 hours per week (on average for the first six months).
• Identifies with the mission of Vegan Business Circle (does not need to be fully vegan)
• Has strong sales, marketing, and leadership skills
• Possesses wide connections in the local plant-based business sector
• Has experience managing Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram pages, as well as email marketing platforms (e.g., MailPoet, Mailchimp)

Optional but advantageous:

• Experience in event organizing
• Experience as an organizer or member of other business communities (e.g. BNI, EO, etc.)
• Entrepreneurial experience
• Strong people-skills
